Brief summary in lay language
Delirium after surgical procedures is increasingly seen as a major Problem. There are few data about how often patients in the post anesthesia care unit (PACU) can be classified as suffering from delirium. Using the test Nu-DESC we assess this in 1000 PACU patients.

Nu-DESC will be used to assess the incidence of Delirium in 1000 postoperative PACU patients. Demographic and anesthesia-related data of delirant patients will be compared to those of non-delirant patients.
